The
Trafalgar Rowing Centre (TRC) is the home to two rowing clubs
in Greenwich, Curlew RC and Globe RC.
The aims of the TRC is to provide a facility for rowing to flourish
in Greenwich and for all members of the community to get involved.
The TRC supports the clubs in widening access to the sport for new
and current rowers alike. The TRC is fully equipped with changing
rooms and a new boathouse and gym.
People have been rowing on the Thames at Greenwich for hundreds of
years. It is thought that the first Greenwich Regatta was held in
1785. The TRC aims to support Curlew RC and Globe RC to ensure that
rowing continues to be an important part of the maritime heritage
of Greenwich.
